Accessible safety and technical training for Queensland distribution work
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Energex and Ergon Energy are bringing the essential extensive technical and safety training required for working on Queensland’s electricity distribution network online with the launch of a new website for their training arm, Esitrain.

The new website allows external companies to sign staff up to courses where they’ll gain training required to work on or near the state’s 212,000km long network.

Esitrain’s Manager of Technical Training and Apprentices, Glen Dolan, said the new website streamlines access to a vast number of courses, allowing companies and organisations to easily enrol staff in some of the most advanced technical and safety training in the country.

“Obviously working on or near Queensland’s power distribution network requires high level specialised training of which we have provided for many years.

“However, our new website now allows organisations such as major infrastructure electrical businesses, local governments and transport companies, just to name a few, a simpler way to gain training for their staff.

“We offer more than 70 courses which can be delivered in seven locations around the state including Brisbane, Mackay, Maryborough, Bundaberg, Rockhampton Townsville and Cairns, and any organisation needing access to our network or seeking to work within close proximity to it must complete training before seeking permits.”

The website can be found here.
