ReNu Energy has appointed a new acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) following the departure of Chris Murray.

The company board has appointed Craig Ricato as acting CEO in the interim, while Warren Leitao has been appointed to the position of COO.

Mr Ricato has been working with the company as an external advisor for six months, and has 17 years’ international experience with listed and private companies in legal and corporate executive roles across the energy, professional services, construction and resource sectors.

His specialisations include complex M&A transactions, business and corporate structuring, project development, finance and corporate governance.

Mr Ricato commenced as acting CEO on 5 April 2018 and will be paid on a contract basis of $1,700 per day during his tenure.

Mr Leitao has over ten years’ experience in business strategy, account management, business development and financial trading, having built and grown successful businesses in Australia and South Africa.

Mr Leitao has previously held commercial and project management positions with Siemens Energy.

He is Non-Executive Director of Triton Plant, which provides project management, related engineering, clean condition monitoring and site support services to businesses in the power generation sector across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
