In only a few short weeks, a record-breaking ARBS 2024 will open its doors on its largest and most diverse event ever. From 28-30 May the ICC Sydney will see over 9,000 visitors enter its halls to explore an anticipated 330 exhibitors displaying the best in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC&R) and building services innovations, technologies, products and solutions, providing a comprehensive all-of-industry view.

New initiatives making headlines at ARBS 2024

Women in HVAC&R Program (29 May): A gathering that highlights the vital contributions of women in the industry and offers a space for networking and peer engagement. The program fosters connections and encourages the translation of dialogue into tangible action steps for gender diversity in the workplace. This is a not-to-be-missed event for all women working in HVAC&R and building services and all men who want to increase participation by women. This program is a joint initiative of AMCA Australia, AIRAH and ARBS, with speakers from other industry organisations including ASHRAE, ASBEC and Building Commission NSW.

ARBS Mathsgaine (30 May): In collaboration with the Educational Pathways Program, ARBS Mathsgaine engages 100 students with industry-related mathematical challenges and interaction with exhibitors, fostering interest in HVAC&R trades.

The ARBS Seminar Program is the largest to date with an increase in sessions of 18.6 per cent compared to 2022. The comprehensive program will see 50 sessions presented by 92 industry leaders on key industry topics including electrification, heat pumps, the pivotal challenges of climate change, the strategic pursuit of net zero targets and many more. The program also features keynote seminars from global built environment industry leaders, including Adrian Catchpole, President of CIBSE, and Ginger Scoggins, President of ASHRAE. These seminars will highlight critical issues like embodied carbon, climate resilience and integrated solutions to the climate crisis through building decarbonisation.

“ARBS 2024 is a comprehensive platform for professional development, networking, and advocacy towards a more sustainable and inclusive future,” said Amanda Searle, ARBS CEO. “We’re setting new standards in how the industry comes together to connect and solve critical challenges.”
