Hydro Tasmania has announced the appointment of two new Non-Executive Directors to its Board.

Ellie Baker and Will McIndoe will commence their terms with the organisation on 25 February 2025, bringing extensive expertise in energy, finance, and infrastructure to Hydro Tasmania.

Hydro Tasmania said that Ms Baker is an experienced Non-Executive Director and executive leader with a 30-year career spanning private and public sectors. Ms Baker has delivered more than $30 billion in major energy and water infrastructure projects in the last five years and is a specialist in commercial strategy, finance and large-scale projects.

Mr McIndoe brings deep energy market knowledge as an Executive Director in Morrison’s Energy Division. He has driven the creation of renewable energy platforms with a 50GW global project pipeline and brings valuable insights and strategic direction across risk management, revenue contracting and emerging technology trends.

Hydro Tasmania said that it looks forward to an exciting year ahead, guided by Ms Baker and Mr McIndoe’s expertise, as it continues to power Tasmania’s renewable future.

The organisation also acknowledged the outstanding contributions of outgoing Non-Executive Directors, Selina Lightfoot and Carlo Botto, and said that over their two respective terms, Ms Lightfoot and Mr Botto have been instrumental in shaping Hydro Tasmania’s direction and success.
