The Australian Energy Market Commission (AEMC) has appointed three new advisers, and two new senior advisers to the organisation.
Oliver Tridgell, Edward Hawkins and Samuel Martin have successfully completed the 2019 AEMC graduate program and moved into adviser positions.
Mr Tridgell will lead the rule change project Transparency of unserved energy calculation, while Mr Hawkins will also take on the role of Reliability Panel Secretariat. Mr Martin will also be assisting the Commission Secretariat with critical organisational responsibilities.
Ben Hiron and Mitchell Shannon have been appointed as senior advisers to steer AEMC through rule change projects and reviews.
Mr Hiron has experience in engineering economic modelling, and has worked on AEMC’s Frequency control frameworks review, review of the frequency operating standard and the three frequency rule change requests which are currently underway.
Mr Shannon is currently working on AEMC’s demand response mechanism rule change requests and is project leader for the AEMC’s work to enhance the frameworks for system restart services.
