The Managing Director of a major energy distributor and network services company has announced his retirement after more than 37 years in the industry.

Chairman of AusNet Services, Peter Mason, congratulated Nino Ficca on his outstanding contribution to AusNet and the industry.

“Nino’s leadership of the company and his contribution to the wider industry has been outstanding…the Board has valued Nino’s vast industry experience and knowledge as well as his strong safety leadership as demonstrated by the marked improvement in AusNet Services’ safety performance.

“Nino will be leaving at a time that the energy industry is undergoing a period of significant transformation,” Mr Mason said.

Mr Ficca said “While it has been a difficult decision to call time on my executive career, I am confident AusNet Services is in a very strong position.”

The AusNet Services Board is currently undergoing a search for Mr Ficca’s replacement, and Mr Ficca will continue in his role until his successor commences.
