Decon Corporation solutions engineer Alex Reyes recently joined Team Australia at The Battery Show North America 2025 – the largest and most comprehensive advanced battery and EV technology event in the world.

Team Australia brought together representatives from CSIRO, QUT and leading Australian energy innovators, showcasing local expertise and strengthening connections across the global clean energy sector.

Hosted in Detroit from October 6–9, the show brought together over 21,000 attendees, 1300 exhibitors and more than 150 expert speakers, covering everything from raw mineral extraction to cell manufacturing, recycling and grid-scale energy storage.

“Being here gave me a deeper respect for the full battery-manufacturing ecosystem,” Reyes said. “From raw minerals to insulation, tape, and transport – every component plays a role. It really changed how I think about the entire process chain and what it means for future solutions.”

Beyond the technology, Reyes found immense value in the networking opportunities through connecting with global leaders in battery innovation, sustainability and research. The event also showcased emerging trends in supply-chain integration, battery safety and next-generation chemistries, all of which align closely with Decon’s focus on delivering smarter, more resilient energy solutions.
