Horizon Power CEO, Stephanie Unwin, has announced her resignation after six years at the helm of the regional energy provider.

Ms Unwin’s last day in office with the utility will be 30 May 2025, and will commence a new role as Arc Infrastructure CEO from 4 August 2025.

Horizon Power Chair, Samantha Tough, said that since joining Horizon Power in 2019, Ms Unwin has provided excellent leadership in evolving the business to meet the energy needs of regional Western Australia and the State Government’s energy transition and decarbonisation aspirations.

“Stephanie has built a strong executive team and leaves the business in very good hands,” Ms Trough said.

“Stephanie has made a positive impact on the energy sector in Western Australia and on behalf of the Board and the Horizon Power team, we thank Stephanie for her leadership over the past six years,” she said.

Arc Infrastructure Chairman, Jonathon Sellar, welcomed Ms Unwin to her new role.

“Stephanie has a wealth of experience, a strategic mindset and a deep commitment to innovation and excellence. We are excited about the energy and vision she will bring to Arc as we execute on our mission to find new opportunities that will support and strengthen the rail network for the benefit of our customers, partners, communities and Western Australia,” he said.

Ms Unwin said she was looking forward to joining the Arc team.

“Arc Infrastructure plays a critical role in driving Western Australia’s economic growth. Arc’s responsibility to provide a reliable, safe and sustainable freight rail network is one that the company honours. Furthermore, Arc is committed to supporting the state’s growers, miners, businesses and regions who use its network. I look forward to working with Arc’s incredible team of nearly 600 employees to continue delivering for our communities,” she said.

Horizon Power said that further announcement about its new CEO appointment will be made in the coming weeks.
