National essential power and communications infrastructure provider, GenusPlus Group has entered into a new contract with NBN Co to support its upgrade of the remaining Fibre to the Node (FTTN) network.

Under the new contract, Genus will provide design and construction services to deploy additional fibre infrastructure to approximately 22,000 properties across Western Australia’s north and south regions and will be delivered over a 3.5-year period.

Having recently completed the N2P Evolution Module for nbn, Genus Managing Director David Riches said, “We are delighted to have secured this important contract, and we look forward to continuing to develop our relationship with nbn as a key delivery partner; completing the works safely, efficiently and on time.”

The infrastructure provider said that this contract marks another step forward in GenusPlus Group’s growth trajectory and reflects the company’s continued progress towards becoming a nationally scaled, Tier 1 contractor of choice across Australia’s critical infrastructure sector.
