Two new senior executives will join the Energy Efficiency Council (EEC) Board, replacing board members from Energy Action and Siemens.
Ivan Slavich is the Chief Executive Officer of Energy Action. He is an experienced executive with extensive experience in the energy, telecommunications, banking and finance sectors and business consulting. Ivan has worked in senior roles with the AGL Group of companies, specialising in both wholesale and retail energy markets. He has extensive knowledge of both wholesale gas and electricity procurement and energy retail management.
Frank Herold is the Executive Commercial Manager – Building Technologies Division at Siemens. He has wide experience in commercial management of international construction, supply, sustainability, infrastructure and maintenance projects. Frank’s expertise is in business management, including economic planning and reporting, mergers and acquisition support, and asset management.
Mr Slavich and Mr Herold replace Caoimhin Ardren and Stefan Schwab, who are passing on the baton on behalf of Energy Action and Siemens.
EEC President, Prof Tony Arnel, thanked the outgoing board members for their service, and said that the appointment of Mr Slavich and Mr Herold to the council’s leadership will help further the council’s agenda.
“I’m delighted to welcome Mr Slavich and Mr Herold to the EEC Board. They bring a wealth of expertise that will greatly help the council’s mission in working with businesses and government to improve affordability, boost reliability and increase cost-effectiveness of energy.”
EEC CEO, Luke Menzel, said that the EEC’s work has never been more important and the addition of Mr Slavich and Mr Herold comes at a crucial time.
