The Asia-Pacific Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition brought together global leaders, innovators, and policymakers to advance the hydrogen economy and strengthen critical supply chains across the region.

Over a packed program, industry and government voices tackled industry challenges and shared bold strategies for scaling hydrogen demand, securing resilient supply chains, decarbonising hard-to-abate sectors and unlocking investment opportunities.

A recurring theme throughout the summit was the pivotal role of public–private collaboration in achieving net-zero targets and building infrastructure for clean fuels such as ammonia, methanol and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).

Speaker highlights included:

  • Secretary of the NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, Anthony Lean, announced $750,000 from the NSW Net Zero Manufacturing Fund for Australian Hydrogen Council member Hiringa Energy to support a FEED study for hydrogen refuelling.
  • Oman Undersecretary of Energy & Minerals, H.E Mohsin Al Hadhrami, confirmed the country’s readiness to partner with the Asia-Pacific region and capture market share in green hydrogen and ammonia.
  • InterContinental Energy Head of Australia, Isaac Hinton, reinforced InterContinental Energy’s commitment to the Australian Renewable Energy Hub (AREH) project, remaining on track for ambitious delivery goals.
  • Orica Vice President Corporate Affairs, Sustainability, Government and Property, Paul Evans, teased major announcements in the new year, including a final investment decision for the Hunter Valley Hydrogen Hub in early 2026.
  • NSW Minister for Climate Change, Energy, Environment, Heritage, Penny Sharpe, unveiled the NSW Renewable Fuel Strategy during her keynote on day two, highlighting pathways for SAF, biodiesel, ammonia, and methanol.

The exhibition floor was a vibrant hub of innovation, featuring over 80 world-class suppliers and technology providers. Industry leaders and government representatives from Siemens Energy, Burkert, Tokyo Metropolitan Government, the German Government, Fukuoka Prefecture, BOC, Hazer Group, Ebara, Toyota, and Peric Hydrogen Technology came together to showcase cutting-edge solutions driving the future of hydrogen.

This impressive lineup connected with a truly global audience, forging relationships that will drive the hydrogen economy across Asia-Pacific and beyond. Delegations from South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Germany, and Japan underscored the spirit of international collaboration and opened doors for strategic partnerships.

Looking ahead, the next Asia-Pacific Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition will take place on 3–4 September 2026 in Adelaide, where proactive government engagement and a rapidly maturing industry promise even greater strides in hydrogen and clean fuel supply chains.
