The Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) has provided a leadership update following an organisational restructure.

The operator has established a new Policy and Corporate Affairs division, which will be accountable for government and stakeholder relations, communications and media and strategic reform for both electricity and gas.

This division is to be led by Violette Mouchaileh, who most recently held the role of AEMO Executive General Manager (EGM) Reform Delivery.

The new division will enable closer collaboration between strategic market reform and the engagement and communications functions.

Additionally, AEMO Services EGM, Nevenka Codevelle, has resigned and will finish up at the end of June 2025, allowing time for a smooth transition.

In making the announcement, AEMO CEO, Daniel Westerman, thanked Ms Codevelle for her leadership, drive and dedication.

“After three years at AEMO, Nevenka has shown great leadership and made a significant contribution,” he said.

“We wish Nevenka every success in her next endeavours.”
