The Australian Energy Market Operator has launched a new Learning Management System (LMS) for external stakeholders.

AEMO has launched the new education system, AEMO Learn Academy, as part of its commitment to proactive industry engagement. AEMO is committed to ensuring the best tools and systems are available to keep up with the transforming energy landscape.

The AEMO Learning Academy launched on 15 July (the project commenced in September 2018) and will replace the former education platform, the AEMO Learning Centre.

With a new and improved design, AEMO’s enhanced LMS will be mobile responsive for the first time, so users can enjoy a user-friendly experience with access to learning material (and the ability to view course dates, now including Wholesale Electricity Market courses) at the touch of a button.

In addition to the usual course offerings, users will also have access to a comprehensive catalogue of online and facilitated AEMO education courses.

Key new features of the system include:

  • Course enrolment on behalf of colleagues
  • Enrolment and payment for more than one attendee at a time
  • Enrolment and payment for more than one course at a time
  • New look National Electricity Market (NEM) and gas eLearning courses

Any courses previously completed by users will automatically transferred to the new LMS.
